The teeny tiny denim skirt was a wardrobe staple of mine during my high school years. I’d wear it as low on my hips as possible to pass the dreaded ‘fingertip test’ that teachers would randomly check on and had my fair share of excuses as to why mybarely covering my butt年代kirt was in compliance to avoid the shame of being forced to change into gym clothes because of a dress code violation. It was most often paired with a polo shirt or graphic tee that said something wildly inappropriate (my favorite was from Abercrombie and said ‘Don’t call me cowgirl til you see me ride’ which I thought was VERY clever since I rode horses), and worn with cropped leggings during the winter months to keep the look going all year ’round.

Sigh. To be a dumb teenager again!
